The Village Quilters

The Quilters meet at Station No. 22 – Newtown Fire House – in the Community Room located at 7130 Main Street every Wednesday and Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. All are WELCOME to come check us out!  Experience is not required.  Fee: $10/month (to purchase supplies).

We are a small non-profit quilt group. Our mission is to make donation quilts and other items that we donate to a variety of charities [Alzheimer patients, nursing homes, homeless organizations, foster care, Miranda’s closet (teen moms), Nine United, animal shelters].

The Village Quilters are always in need of fabric, quilt batting, and of course, cash is always appreciated. Contact Nancy Berlier at 513.383.9556 or nberlier@twc.com

 

Newtown Civic League

The Newtown Civic League has $2,500 “scholarships” available to anyone going to college, vocation/trade schools or wanting additional education. Scholarship monies may be used for books, equipment, uniforms, fees, etc. needed for learning. If interested – when applying, be sure to have the following information listed: Full name, address, contact information, place of enrollment and the timeline for the scholarship.
