Traffic Enforcment

The Village of Newtown traffic volumes averages between 50,000 and 80,000 vehicles per day. We attribute active traffic enforcement as a method of lowering auto accidents due to aggressive driving.

Personal Crimes

Aggressive driving has become a serious problem on our roadways and is the leading cause of injury auto accidents. What is aggressive driving? Most of us know it when we see it, but the NHTSA, defines aggressive driving as occurring when “an individual commits a combination of moving traffic offenses so as to endanger other persons or property.”
